Gadget Holster

Gadget Holster

Wow,take a look for this.I found this particular gadget accessory this morning, and I was surprised that my source called it seriously ridiculous. Granted, Im not certain that I will buy the e-Volve Gadget Shoulder Holster, but I dont think it is a valid candidate for Foolish Gadgets.

After all, most people carry so many mobile devices like MP3 Players, cell phones, portable video game consoles, and other wireless devices, that its getting so people need some sort of holster to carry them. It reminds me of the Wrist Band Portable Battery, which has all kinds of chargers conveniently on the wrist, making you like Batman if he put all his gadgets on his wrist instead of his belt.

Im not certain whether the Gadget Shoulder Holster is sending the right message, though. If someone hugs you, they might think you are packing a concealed weapon or something.

Or maybe you want to send a message that you are some big tough guy with this super-cool gadget holster. Unless you are auditioning for Geek Cops, I dont really see a place for this.

However, if this is your style of mobile tech, feel free to go to the eholster site and shell out about $69.95 for it.

Evaporation Engine Harvests Energy From Water Vapour At Room Temperature

Evaporation Engine Harvests Energy From Water Vapour At Room Temperature Bioengineers at the Columbia University have succeeded in harvesting energy from water evaporating at room temperature. The team led by Ozgur Sahin has developed a tiny, $5 evaporation engine that can drive a small buggy or power an LED. The engine practically uses nothing but water as the fuel and room temperature to function. Following is the photo of the functional engine that measures just about 4" on each side.  ? This tiny engine is indeed a breakthrough innovation. The engine has been designed and developed to harvest the energy from natural phenomenon that was mostly ignored so far. The functioning of the engine is even more interesting. Sahins team employed hygroscopy-driven artificial muscles aka HYDRAs to power the engine. The HYDRAs are very tiny plastic strips that expand and contract based on the humidity in the air. A small band of HYDRA can have about a million+ expansion/contraction cycles wi...
